Useful information before visiting the Alhambra:

Useful information before visiting the Alhambra:

  • There is a city bus stop which will take you to the Alhambra located just 100 yds. from the hotel. This is the easiest, cheapest and most comfortable way to get there. You can also get there on foot, by taxi or car.
  • Bookings must be made at least 24 hours in advance prior to the visit.
  • The hotel will not charge your credit card; we only facilitate this service for you.
  • Ticket purchases are made online.
  • If you have any complaints regarding the purchase or the visit, please contact the Alhambra and Generalife Trust.
  • Approximate visit duration is of three hours.
  • Official Alhambra website
  • Important notice: Tickets are collected at the ticket office of the Alhambra Trust (in the Access Pavilion, next to the Generalife parking lot) on the same day of the visit. You will be required to show your booking confirmation and the ID card or passport of all visitors.
  • Tickets are valid only for the day and time stated during the purchase.
  • Access to the monument areas is allowed only during the time shown on the ticket (morning, afternoon or evening).
  • Due to the large amount of visitors, we recommend that you get to the Alhambra at least one hour prior to the time shown on your ticket.
  • Once inside the monument, you can stay inside until closing time.
  • Visitors will be asked to leave at closing time.
  • As opposed to the rest of the monument, access to the Nasrid Palaces is only within the 30 minutes shown on your ticket, since capacity is restricted to 300 people every 30 minutes. If you do not visit them during the time frame you have been allocated, you will no longer be allowed to go in, although you can still visit the rest of the monument. Please remember that the last entry to the Nasrid Palaces is 60 minutes before closing time and that the visit lasts at least 30 minutes, so we recommend that you visit the Generalife and the Alcazaba beforehand.
